Delegates of the 43rd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee visited Baku Marionette Theatre on 8 July 2019. The guests have been welcomed here by Mr Asgar Alakbarov, Head of the Icherisheher Administration. The ‘Leyli and Majnun’ opera was performed. The crew was delighted to present the final show of the theatrical season for this international audience - the world’s high-level culture experts. New theatrical season will start in late October. But no shows during the upcoming few months doesn’t mean that the theatre is closed. The crew is carefully preparing to participate in the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnette in Charleville-Mézières, France, in September 2019. Then, directly from the World Festival in France we take our show to Zagreb, Croatia. We will do our best to publish in our web-page the reports from this our European performing tour.
