The 14th annual meeting of the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA and the international conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of signing of the Basic Multilateral Agreement on International Transport for Development of the Europe-the Caucasus-Asia Corridor was hold on December 6 in Baku. Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mr Mikayil Jabbarov invited officials from TRACECA member and observer countries, as well as representatives of participating international organizations to enjoy the show of ‘Leyli and Majnun’ at Baku Marionet Theatre. Spectators liked our performance very much.

Khatira Selimova, who is a teacher at the International XXI Century Education and Innovation Centre, has been a head to the project named ‘English-Language Shadow Theatre’, implemented due to the grant from the Azerbaijan Ministry of Education. Within this project a group of pupils staged and performed original shadow shows in English. The final event of this project was organized at the Baku Marionette Theatre.

Today our theatre hosted the poetry and music event organized by the poetry section of the "Literaturniy Azerbaijan" magazine. Poets representing different generations, guitar performing singer-poets known as bards, as well as guests from abroad took part, most presenting their poems and songs. The slogan of this event was 'Flying awaken and flyingin verses'. Journalist and poet Alina Talibova, who is the head of the magazine's poetry section, was leading this event.

Baku Marionette Theatre presented its show of “Leyli and Majnun” at Zagreb Puppet Theatre. The project was realized due to joint organizational support of the Azerbaijan Embassy to Croatia, Administration of the State Historical and Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher" and Croatian Ministry of Culture. Performances were met with keen interest of the audience including representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Croatia and cultural community of Zagreb.

A documentary “Light behind window” has been premiered on October 1, at Baku Marionette Theatre as part of the Nasimi Festival of Poetry, Arts and Spirituality. Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, author and general producer Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva attended the presentation of the film, which won “Tefi Sodruzhestvo” award.
