This year again we traditionally celebrate 18 th September as “Uzeyir’s Music Day”. The Marionette Theatre of the Administration of Icherisheher contributes these celebration events performing its “Arshin Mal Alan” show. Supported by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Education, the show will be performed on September 18, 19 and 20 at the Special Boarding School No.12 for children with limited health condition in Shuvalan settlement of Khazar district. Children from the Boarding Schools No. 1, 2 and 11 will be taken here and be the show spectators as well.

The magnificent Silk Road Music Festival is underway in Shaki city with grand performances. The fifth International festival began on July 1 and will run till July 5. The festival program includes performances of Baku Marionette Theatre.

On 5-10 February, a spectacle “Arshin Mal Alan” staged based on the novel of the same name by Uzeyir Hajibeyov was performed at the stage of “Ibrus” theater by “Tarlan Gorcu Puppet Theater” with organizational support by the State Historical-Architectural Reserve “Icherisheher”.
